Pulled my engine for turbo replacement last week. Then came the well I might as well..... So anyway the block and heads are at the machine shop. Trans is torn down waiting for parts...... What really amazed me was my engine. After 170,000 miles this friggin thing looks excellent inside. No ridge in the cylinders. Bearings show very little wear. Pistons and rings look like a 25k engine. The further I got into it the more I kept asking myself why I was doing this.. Theres not one score mark in any cylinder/piston. Nothing I tell you! Just blows me away that it looked that good inside with that many miles. I really need to decide on what turbos I want:( Go back stock, Bigger. Go back stock, Bigger . Thats all thats been going thru my head for 2 weeks now. Bigger cost alot(injectors, dp,s) stock cost not so much alot..... Probably would be easier to decide if my injectors were not replaced right before I got the car.
